Title: Another chapter in my crazy summer means...

Another chapter in my crazy summer (Chapter 2: 3-Week Camp at Interlochen, Michigan) means that I shall be GONE from SilverQuill in my first ever prolonged absence in our over two years running. GASP! I'll be away from SilverQuill from July 5th (or 6th) to August 2nd (or 3rd).
It really sucks, it does. I am currently debating what to do during those three weeks. We have two options. I either close SilverQuill until I get back (which I really, really don't want to do) or leave Wordsmith in charge for the duration of my absence.
Now let me first give you more information on the two options. If I close SilverQuill, it may result in an activity lapse that may take months for us to recover from. Or we may never recover from. Trust me, guys- even if you think and say you'll go back on, it's hard to when you're out of the habit- I have experience in that.
But if I leave Wordy in charge (now Wordy, please don't take offense at this) you(1.) won't have a supervisor all the time, since she doesn't and can't go on as often as me. It's inevitable no matter what you say, Wordy, you know even though you want to, you won't.(2.) Registrations for SQ and affiliations will be closed, as they need me checking my email daily to function. (3.) Wordy doesn't know how work the majority of the board, because of the revamp, so there won't be any promotions, monthly rankings, updates of {writeMe100}, maybe no more challenges unless I can make them in advance, and in general, much less support. I can't brief her in everything. And (4.), there will be a 3 day overlap period in which there will be NO administrator on SQ, because she is currently in California riding horsies.
I am at my wit's end trying to figure out what to do, so I'm putting it to a vote... it's a lose-lose situation. Either way, I fear we'll lose activity. I really need some feedback, please let me know!
EDIT: Anyone who cares- I'm going to Interlochen, an arts high school in Michigan that also offers a famous summer program that has no INTERNET ACCESS even though the goddamn WRITING MAJORS have a goddamn LAPTOP with them because its goddamned REQUIRED.

Um, so I totally agree about how hard it is to get back in the habit of SQ after a prolonged absence. It's just difficult; you forget where things are, you've missed things while away, and in my case the entire site got revamped. Really, it is VERY difficult to recover from prolonged absences on the part of the site; I recall the Millie days, when Aly and I were absent for about a month, and Seddy was all, "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! COOOOOOOMMMEEE BAAAAAAACCKK!!!!!"

I say give it to wordy, i mean i would rather have little supervision than no site. And im sure we are all well behaved enough... to behave... i think :P
It might be like the parents going out of town for the weekend..... party!!!
But it would be much better i think to keep it up because i know the out of habit thing too. I go in waves, ill be on everyday for like three weeks straight and post a bunch and then ill have a lapse where i go on evey once in a while. But if its down for a month i might not go on as much as i would like too.
I wont forget the site though, i love it and put it on my favorites bar. Its just a click away :D

Rain, it's because you encouraged me- you guys were crazy active right before you left. XD
Yeah, I agree with both of you... so it looks like that's probably going to happen.

YOU CANNOT DEPRIVE US OF SQ FOR A MONTH, SEDDY! IT IS NOT ALLOWED!
-ahem- I mean... I would prefer if Wordy were to be in charge while you're gone, Seddy.
