Title: UPDATE ON THE HACKER SITUATION

Sedragore - March 23, 2008 03:17 AM (GMT)
The Invisionfree people have done all they can to help resolve the situation. This is the formal notice they have put up:

Hi everyone,

We're...most definitely aware of this situation, and we have contacted Brandon via any means possible. For now, all we can do is just...wait. Sorry but none of us have any clear/solid information on this at this time.

Hopefully this situation will be resolved with the best possible outcome.

Thank you for your patience, and we can only give you our apologies right now.

(Brandon is the guy who runs the root coding of Invisionfree)

So right now, for SilverQuill in particular, it looks like the hackers have only reached the index page. Meaning that all of our data is safe, and the g00n page you may or may not see does not mean that the entire site has been hacked. And the page does NOT contain a virus. I repeat, SILVERQUILL DOES NOT CONTAIN A VIRUS.

The domain system is reportedly not working right now. However, it seems to be working for us. For the time being, I'm going to have www.silverquillforums.com activated. However, if the hacker page persists, I'm going to give you guys a link that you can use to access the site. It's a long link. It's a scary link. It's a link that has many extraneous characters. But we'll have to deal- because I think the Invisionfree staffers are in the seventh ring of hell right now. And this is much, much better in comparison.

In short: SQ does not have a virus. SQ's URL may change temporarily, and I will notify you if this is necessary. And we are all still alive. At least, you are. I'm a zombie. *runs around attempting to back files on a 1 MB USB drive* Seventh ring of hell, people.

If there are any files in particular you want me to back (because you can't do it yourself, oh no) let me know. sedragore@yahoo.com, or if you have my phone #.

-A very desperate Seddy

PS: For the computer challenged, if you want to make sure your work is not erased in case of an apocalypse, all you have to do is go to the page, click "Print this topic" and copy and paste to a Word document. As I said multiple times, SILVERQUILL DOES NOT CONTAIN A VIRUS, and the pages should be safe to visit. Grazi.

PPS: Needless to say, I think our Easter egg hunt is going to be postponed. Sorry, Prometheus.
