Title: Emergency- Invisionfree(our host) has been hacked

Guys, here's the deal. It looks like the Invisonfree board system, the people who host and run the OS that keeps SilverQuill afloat. A few minutes ago, I wasn't able to access SilverQuill at all. Right then, many Invisionfree servers were also blocked. However, I am now able to access the site... hopefully, you can too. And hopefully, it will stay that way.

Invisionfree is the largest existing forum provider, so I hope you can see the magnitude of the situation.

I want to warn you all- if you can access the site right now, back up ALL of your stories on a Word document on your home computer. But, if you own a PC, I would suggest avoiding any Invisionfree website, including SilverQuill, for the moment being in the event that a virus has been planted that may infect your system. It has also been speculated that if you access a hacked Invisionfree page, then visit an unhacked one, the virus could potentially take over the whole Invisionfree system.

Therefore, it looks like I'm going to try and spend one sleepless night backing up as many stories and pieces as I can. If you own a Mac, I'd really appreciate it if you backed your own files. Macs are virtually invulnerable to viruses- us Mac users stand at around a 99.99% of staying alive. Mac viruses are incredibly rare. Most can only be received by inserting a CD and actually purposely installing the virus. So I'd say that we're pretty much good. (Mac users should also use a trusted internet provider to access the site)

I'd like everyone to know this- if the Invisionfree system stays permanently down, SilverQuill will not be started again. Needless to say, I'm seriously panicking.

EDIT: It looks as though the situation is being taken care of.
If you can access the site right now, it seems like there is no threat of a virus infection.
